Well, I wash my bike at the car wash and everything gets wet. Would the head unit you're running be able to handle that? I don't just blast it with water but it does get drenched. Could you send me a picture of the unit with the red setting and is it going to sound WAY better than the stocker with the system I'm running? Thanks again...
Did you get that JL amp to fit on top of radio? Dimension look pretty wide L-7.09" W-8.52" H-2.05"?

What is it that you like about the Alpine speakers. They don't 'spec' out well, and the ones I've listened to at audio shops don't deliver as well as some similarly priced speakers.
So any, decent quality, 6x9 speaker mounted horizontally in saddlebag lids would be fine if the got wet in the rain?
You need to use some common sense with this one. If you live in a fairly dry climate, with only occasional light rain, you might be OK. If you live where I live, with 4 months of monsoon type rain almost daily, no horizontal speaker will survive long. There is no such thing as a fully water proof grill, water will get in. Once in, it will start to do it's thing, which is not good for the speaker. I've been wanting to add speakers to my saddlebags, but I've realized that the horizontal lid approach will not fly here in Fl.
i live in so cal. mostlly dry a friend of mine had an arc system similar system before we rohde 35 miles installed he blew arc speaers he installed the alpines an i liked them but will listen to what u think an go listen somewhere thanks bud
