Default Light in touring pack

Ok first how does the light kno when to go off and on? My light is not working, finally got it to work, stayed on for maybe 2 or 3 minutes went off and won't come back on. Any ideas

it works on the same principle as the refrigerator light, a small person turns it on and off as the door/lid is opened and closed, you most likely haven't fed him in a while and therefore not doing his job until he eats!!


as I remember it works on a mercury style switch as its angle changes it comes on and off. watch the tilt

Unless you have the LED light. It has a built in timer. Never timed it but it seems to be about 5 minutes. As for why it wont come on, its more then likely the little switch you have to push to turn it on. Mine went bad and was able to find a similar switch at Radio Shack to replace it.

I had one back in 01, thought it worked on tilt, that was many beers ago though

Looked for some sort of switch couldn't find one. Is it internal?
