I know the answers that I am going to get. Look at the side wall. It is dark out and I can't see. I believe the side wall read that 40 psi for stock tires on a 2012 sg. I just got a tpms and took a ride to test it out. It reads that I have 44 psi when the tires are hot. My question is this. How much preasure should there be when the tires are hot and cold.
I looked in the manual but I could not find it in there either. Thanks for any help tht you might be ab le to give.
Jim
Always check pressures when the tires are cold. Don't worry about hot temps, all that is figured in the making of them. And don't use the pressures listed on the sidewall. Check your owners manual. The same tire can fit many different bikes. Each one may have a different pressure recommendation for safety. Just because one bike can safely handle the tire with 50 psi in it, it doesn't mean any other bikes will.
Going by the pressure on the tire sidewall is only good for bicycles. I have a 08UC, and tire pressure is front 36psi, rear is 40psi. It should be in Your owners manual.
