103 ping problem

welcome to the forums.
pinging is exacerbated by heat and low octane fuel- are you using premium fuel from a 'brand name' ? have you tried a different brand ?
under what conditions does it ping ?
my 09 when showroom stock, pinged at 2800~3200 rpms on 6% grades.
I solved that with nightrider.com xieds for about $100. they slightly richen the mixture under most riding conditions.
from there I was able to go to high flow intake and exhaust, no pinging the past 2 years
there are other, more complex tuners as well.
