I know this has been beaten to death, but here is my question/concern. I am riding a 2012 Limited with a stage 1, SE A/C, SERT, and 2.5" Rush Big Louies. I NEED to get rid of the cat for heat reasons and am still undecided on whether to de-cat stock pipe or go after market. I would like to put on the Rush true duals to go along with the Big Loiues. I'm told that duals will decrease my low end torque, which I don't want. If I add a set of SE 255 cams (or something similar) along with the duals will I get back my low end torque? I really like the sound of the duals but since I ride two up on the Limited, I need the low end torque. What to do, what to do....
Well that is a conundrum isn't it.....humm you could go with a tunable slip on that allows you to change the torque from low to mid to high and back again at your discretion.......the Supertrapp line of tunable mufflers can do that. Would de-catting the header cause the torque to change around? Who told you going to true duals changes it?
I installed a set of Rush Td's this spring on my 2011 Road King. If you ride 2 up and cover reasonable miles touring I think you will find them tiring and a little loud for what you do. I had Jackpots on a stock headpipe with cat and the touring db's were great on the ears. Switched to duals and it was embarrassingly loud. As for torque only a dyno will show the minimal low end difference. I got it dyno'd and had 104tq and 85 hp with the loud Jackpots, then put on some Supertrapp Fatshotz and dropped 10 tq and 5 hp and the butt performance loss is obvious but the sound is incredible. You Louie's might drive you crazy but I've never heard them in person.
Doc's Performance Tuning loves the Rush True Duals , he showed me bikes he has put them on and tuned and the low end loss was minimal , he said the key is baffle size in the slip ons
i went to duals, form stock head pipe, i have the 4'' rush w/ 2.5'' baffles and i couldnt tell any loss, im sure on dyno it did but not enough ot notice riding
If you go with true duals you will need to decrease your baffle size to 2".Otherwise it will be almost untuneable.Call Rush and talk to them, they are very helpful.I am running the SE 255 cams and am happy with them.
Went with Jackpot duals first, big difference with heat reduction. Then I got a deal on some 3.5 Jackpot's with 2" baffles. Love the sound and at cruise they are extremely mellow. But jump on them and they will bark, not too loud, but right at the point if they were any louder I would probably go back to the stock mufflers.
Thanks for the input guys. I think the duals along with the SE 255's or maybe the new TW-222 cams is what I'm looking for. I guess I know what I will be saving for over the winter. I live in Northern Iowa, does anyone know a good tuner in my area?

I'm running true duals with SE203 cams. Very similar specs to the new 222. You'll be happy with the performance of the 222.
