So this is about a $400 LED and Plasma Rod upgrade and install using customdynamics.com?
Anybody do this same thing but cheaper? If so, was the quality of the products you bought somewhere else better or not?
Thinking about tackling this before a 2200 mile trip in July with my 12-year old on the back.

I paid about $340.00 for everything listed in my writeup. My price shopping of the big players for these types of items came out about the same no matter which direction I went when shipping and all was figured in. As far as quality, the reviews I have read from others seems to indicate that they're all pretty dependable, but when the occasional dud crops up they also seem to have pretty good customer service.
Given the effect failed components would have if you were out of state, I wouldn't even consider any no-name brands.

Rods on 2015 RGS
Hi,
I am thinking of setting the GEN200-KIT-BCM and the Dual plasma rods from CD on my 2015 Road Glide Special.
Has anyone done that on 2015 RGS and have any suggestions or issues encountered?
Also, all the wiring diagrams are not covering 2015 models, and I will have to ask CD to draw something for me, because according to them, 2015 RGS as SGS are using one wire for the back turn signals, and additional Turn Signal Decoder needs to be purchased ($75). There should be no need for Load Equalizer or dual converters, which is nice.
Also, for those like me, don't order the Smart Triple Play for your 2015 RGS ot SGS, because these work with single intensity rear lights, where 2015 models are using dual intensity rear lights. They are developing a Triple Play for 2015 models, that should be released somewhere in April 2015 (per their customer support).
As with others I would like to go cheaper, because the whole purchase will be around $450 ($180 for plasma, 75 for dual converter, 180 for the LED turn Kit, and $16 for two sets of lenses). They offer free shipping now, but they would not go at all with some discount on this purchase. I wonder if their business is so good, that they are not giving any discount, not even 5%.
I got my brand new bike with 10% down, because it is pre-season purchase, my J&S jack for like 7-8% less by calling them, but Custom Dynamics are tough cookie to break.
