My first trip to the Dragons Tail in NC/TN last weekend. It was about a 10hr ride there for us here in northern ohio. We did stop at a burbon distillery and a moonshine distillery for breaks... Coming from my racing backround I wasn't sure how much "fun" I would have on my 1000lb 140hp king... Lets just say it was an absolute blast! Waiting on some of the photo's from the pro photographers but there are a couple of me dragging floorboards with fingertips on the ground! My buddy and I rode so hard we ruined out floarboards and blistered our front tires!!!! I will update with the pro-shots once I get them.
I definitely reccomend the trip to everyone! The entire area was great riding. We cruised rte 28 up a mountain then shut the bikes off and coasted 5 miles to the bottom, it left us speachless with the beauty of it all.
see links below in my post?
cheers

betcha it's close with you on it though - what do they weigh 820 or something like that, if you are 180 or more, 1000 is probabaly accurate on your tires
Thats awsome! Rode it 7 or 8 times but never on a cruiser. Even left a souvenier on the tree once from a mishap on the skyway. The harley riders used to **** us off "in the way". Oh, how times change!
Good times on the dragon! But your tires are not blistered lol, they are called rubber boogers. That is normal wear from agressive riding and warming your tires up while they are gripping the pavement. You should see my tires after a good road course track day on the crotch rocket
