Often thought about trying them while riding but, have to wear the for 12hours a day at work so when im done im ready for them to come out don't like wearing them longer then what i have to.
I started wearing them so I wouldn't hear all the clicking, clacking, and thrashing of my engine. If I forget to put them in, I start thinking I'm going to need a tow truck any minute.
Agreed. Can't believe how noisy my bike is when I don't wear plugs. But I swear that Formula+ has made my primary louder on my Dyna.
I had a custom pair made at an ear doctor but before that I wore the foamies. Flightline, guns, and Bruce Springsteen have all taken their toll on my ears. This ringing is a constant.
I have an Arai FF helmet, purchased recently, and it fits me perfectly. My FF's have always and only been Arai. They seems to amplify the wind noise though, earplugs are a must when I'm wearing that thing.
Protect your ears.
Although... My German Shepard was always afraid of thunder and the booms during the 4th of July. Best thing that ever happened to him was to go deaf. R.I.P Big Pug-pug...
I wear a full face helmet so haven't used ear plugs.
Anyone out there with a FF helmet wearing ear plugs? Do you find there's a benefit in doing so?
I wear one and always wear earplugs. I can hear everything us he radio better and arrive home less fatigued. A helmet covering the ears are not the same as earplugs
my tinitus started after a 4 day ride to Calgary and back on my evo sporty with 2 1/2 inch Sampson straight pipes.... I've worn earplugs every time I get on the bike since then.... closing the barn door after the horse got out I know but I'm trying to save what hearing I have left and keep the ringing to a dull roar...........
I only wear them on long rides. I guess the hearing loss I have accrued over the years gives me an excuse when I somehow don't hear my wife...several times a day :-)
i wear custom fitted ear plugs on the job and on the bike.so much more relaxing with out the wind noise.
and yes the bike sounds way better going down the road.
