I think the 50/50 mix results in 7 1/2 wt (5wt Stock +10wt Heavy)/2=7 1/2 wt. I am running 7.5wt Spectrol in my front and rear. Not sure about adding or subtracting as I followed the manual for exact replacement amounts

Found this info for Harley Fork Oil
Fork Oil - 16oz. Type E 5wt. Type E is for "Showa" forks.Part # 99884-80

Fork Oil - 16oz. Type B 10w. Fork Oil - See owners manual for recommended style. Part # 99880-73

Screamin’ EagleŽ Performance Fork Oil - A heavier oil (15wt) provides extra damping in performance application. Part # 99881-87 . Works well to take the dive out of the front end on breaking.

Screamin’ EagleŽ Racing Fork Oil - Designed and blended for the severe conditions on the race track (20wt). Not intended for street use.
Part # 99909-93R

This is what I used, Spectro 7.5 wt synthetic in both front forks and rear air shocks. Works for me in a glide with 1 or 2 up riding no problems. Paid a little more for synthetic as the distributer made it sound like it was worth it

Wow. I guess I never realized the SE HW oil was 15wt. I guess I will go with the Amsoil 10wt, or the Spectro 7.5. Only difference for me is the front end is lowered 1.5" and I'm getting ready to put on a 21" wheel. That combination will make it even stiffer. Probably try the Spectro 7.5 syn. Is it pretty redially available.

My experience has been nearly the same as yours.
I like what the SE heavy did for the brake dive , but it's a bit much for normal riding.
My bike actually feels more planted at high speeds , or when I push it hard through some turns , athough I'm a very light rider (155 lbs) , maybe it reacts faster because of this.
I will never go back to the E type alone , as I can fully crush the forks on a hard braking.
I will try a 50/50 mix of E type and SE on the next change.
Somewhere between the 2 oils is a sweet spot , it's certainly cheap enough to try different combinations.

I ran the SE for about 3000 miles and just didn't like how firm it was. I just changed it out when I did the bar swap and mixed it 50/50 with the stock oil and I like it much better.
