I went from a sporty to a wide glide to a night train to a street glide. I LOVE my SG! Ride it all the time now. I don't miss any of my other bikes one bit.

I bought a 2012 SG last February and kept my 1999 CVO FXR2. It is geat having the choice of which bike to ride. They are both fine bikes but are complete opposites. The FXR has the old 80CI EVO with carburator and the old Harley lope. It is very quick and so lite and easy ro manuver in all kinds of parking situations and scooting around town. No windshield and old school drag pipes. The SG is fine, kinda like the best of all bikes rolled into one. The fairing/shield and radio/cd and ABS/Cruise and lockable bags are great and my wife loves to ride with me on it. I guess I'm quite lucky because when I ride the FXR I keep thinking I had forgotten how fine it was and I even question buying the SG. Then When my wife and I take off for a country cruise on the SG I keep thinking I had forgotten how fine a machine it was and why would I need 2 bikes. It has only been 8 months owning the 2, hopefully how they are such opposites will keep them both exciting and a thrill to ride.

I made some mods to my EG Ultra and it is perfect for long hauls and fro riding around town. You can do anything you want to them.

Default totally your choice.....

Don't be influenced by what anyone else is riding. You will be the one to have to live with what you choose and letting someone else make that choice may taste funny after a while?

I have had a few of em and I tend to favor the FLHTC Classic just for the looks as well as the fact you can slap those canvas covers on tyhe crash bars and you have lower leg protection. Again it is your call.

If you can swing it, keep both! Use the Dyna for shorter around town trips and the tourer for distance riding. SJ Ron
