Has anybody tried putting the Road Glide H-D under fairing wind deflectors (http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US) on a Street Glide? Those are the ones that clip on the engine guard and tank mounts. Will they fit? And, if so, do they make a difference? And what about this chrome baffle (http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US) HD sells for the batwings? Any luck? Just trying, once again, to deal with the wind buffeting.
The tree mounted deflector does not make that much of a difference IMO. I tried it with and without fairing wings and I find that the wings by themselves work better than both together or the tree baffle by itself.
We've covered them both several times. The chrome bottom tree baffle was stock for many years, my 1990 bike came with a black one. I have an RG 6 gallon tank on it now and a pair of those deflectors. They fit my old bike, in fact they would probably fit bikes with an older 5 gallon tank. I have yet to ride with the RG deflectors, so can't confirm if they work well.
