Default muffler sealant

I am going to put my stock mufflers back on and I know that I should use something between the muffler and the pipe. Is it grease or some type of antiseize.

Thanks,
David

some use a thin coat of hi temp rtv sealant- but that can be a bear if you want to swap mufflers.

some use anti seize

any traces of either of these ( or oil, grease, finger prints) can marr the chrome finish when heated- make sure your pipes are clean, clean, clean

others go dry, which is what I usually do.

new clamps are important, as the stock style torca clamps are made to deform on install and may be out-of-round if reused
