LRS Question
I had posted this in the Softail section, but maybe a Roadking owner can help.
I have the "clear" 19" shield on my Heritage. I have noticed it has a haze to it. It's really noticeable in the sunlight. It looks like a fogged up window. I've used NO harsh cleaners or chemicals.
Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue.
Thank you for any replies

I only use a product called "Plexus" on my plastic windshields. And I wipe it off with a microfiber lint-free cloth. It's used by the military on the helicopter windshields but you can buy it at most Bike Shops. I've never had any hazing issues. That doesn't help you now but it might if you decide to replace it.
I bought a LRS windshield a few months back for my RKC and it also looks hazy, almost a white tint to it. I have only used just water to clean it. I was thinking maybe it would clear but now thinking that's just the way it is. Curious to hear what others think.
Thanks for the replies.
LRS has gotten back to me. Sounds like this
is common, but mine is worse than most.
He said he wants pics so I'll park in the sun.
He said they'll exch it. Sounds good to me.
They've been great to deal with. They probl just need
to go to the material (Lexan or whatever) that Harley
uses.

To many use windex or alcohol based cleaners on acrylic. It's not glass!
Also even laundered reusable rags can still leave a residue, especially if softeners are used.
I use Novus acrylic / plastic polish and was amazed at how crystal clear it can look. Put it on with terry cloth by swirling it on to polish the acrylic. Wipe it off with Microfiber cloth to bring out the luster.
