Size 13 hoof here.... Just add SooS 1" board extenders and there's plenty -o- room for a big hoof on them footboards.
Add a hiway peg for added comfort....
I really like my heal/toe shifter.
When I was riding BMW's I rode them much harder and found the toe shifter to be much quicker than heal/toe shifters I have used. Less foot movement but that was probably because I didn't have floorboards.
Anyway, I'm older and slower now and they are just comfortable for me. Kind of like the rest of the bike. I'm a happy camper:-)
I ride with a heal/toe shifter....like it or love it.....I don't care if you do.
My advice is, if you remove the heal shifter.....put it in your saddle bag. Because
when you toe shifter strips out the spines, you can install the heal shifter in its place.
(I was on the Cherahola Skyway in N.C. when mine stripped out.......50
miles from nowhere I now carry a spare shift lever....AND wire ties in case you have
your stock shift linkage take a crap.
