Here my favorite, I love mine I have had it for 6 years

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ROADGEAR-Per...5e5760&vxp=mtr

Colors: Black
Two-year warranty
Features
Premium 1.2 mm drum-dyed cowhide leather—perfect balance of protection and comfort
Full-length, removable, DuPont® ThermoLite® liner with state-of-the-art Reissa® membrane technology-completely waterproof/windproof for cold-weather comfort
Perforated-keep cool on hot summer days
Removable, CE-approved armor in shoulder and elbow areas—heavy-duty impact absorption
Contoured, removable Tempurfoam spine guard-comfortable and protective
Dynatec® reflective elbow and back panels- increased night visibility for maximum safety
Adjustable waist belt design provides a custom fit with any layer configuration-minimizes tank scratching
Stretch panels adjust to comfortably fit any riding position-provide a sleek fit
Zippered sleeves-easy entry/exit
Two understated front pockets and a secure inside wallet pocket-useful storage for personal essentials
Tempurfoam®-filled dropped back keeps wind out-provides additional kidney protection

"...if your riding style calls for leather the XKJ is it...for night visibility check the Dynatec reflective elbow and back panels.
"The XKJ has a solid, substantial feel, and would be the choice for full-on protection from the road with its leather body and individual protectors. On a cool day you'll feel the wind blowing through the perforations, but it's still warmer than most jackets here overall. On a hot day the perforations actually seem to accelerate the speed of the wind through them, so it feels cooler than a comparable mesh jacket. Yes it's expensive, but the XKJ is also handsome, provides excellent protection and has a greater temperature range than most jackets here."

Default Friends don't let friends wear chinese leather

My #1 criteria for my jacket was that it be made in the USA. When Harley was making jackets in the USA they cost $500 or more. Now that they're made in china they cost $500 or more. Who's fooling who? I wouldnt trust leatherup, hotleathers, etc. either, or any other distributer that doesn't consistently advertise and brag that their products are musa. You'll end up with a jacket made by someone who'd rather slit your throat for your western ideals than sew you a jacket.

Fox creek bro. USA. Lifetime warranty. You get a month to wear it around, can return it for your cash back. Weighs a ton and has a liner, thick skin. Vents for when it's hot. Get a fox creek if you're a serious rider.

Bad to have a crash in!!!) So did i read right that it is real leather and good quality???
Leather up's motorcycle gear is pretty damn good stuff. I hit pavement at about 50 mph in my jacket from them, still wear it. Heavy leather, good quality hardware. I know when I set up my dealer account all that was required was placing a minimum $400 order, the dealer site is myleather.com. May be worth getting with a few friends and setting up an account....

If your riding in cold weather textile does a lot better job of keeping you warm in the lower temps. Check out all season or cold weather touring jackets on some of the big sites like Revzilla.com, MotorcycleSuperstore.com, etc. There is also a big difference in warmth between polyester quilt liners and Thinsulate liners. Dual wind flaps over the zippers and a decent collar that can be sealed around you neck make a huge difference in air leakage and warmth. Don't buy a cold weather jacket that does not have storm flaps to cover the zipper or it will be a big spot for cold air penetration.

I have owned a Hein Gericke for many years - Very heavy leather - I think it was called a Navigator? As I grew I had to replace the zipper with one that gave me another 3/4 inch or so in the girth - It has padding in the right places & a build in kidney belt - I also have two 1st Gear textile jackets that get a lot of use - One is mesh & the other is solid - I really think the Textile is the way to go now a days but I must admit when I slip on my old Hein Gericke it's really feels good. If you want to keep the leather look & feel - check out Hein Gericke - good stuff - tom

After much research on my own and reading what others have said on this forum about leather jackets, I ordered my jacket last year from Fox Creek and could not be happier with the quality and workmanship. They were extremely helpful when I ordered the jacket and it was delivered faster than originally quoted. Super nice people to deal with.

HD leather is expensive, but great quality. You can do better on the prices at house of harley dot com. Free shipping and no sales tax. I saved over $100

Have had a Leather H.D. FXRG for about 6 years now and it is by far the best leather jacket that I have owned. It has a zip out lining and with being waterproof you do not need to carry any rain gear. It is a warm SOB as well. Yes I know we will hear made in China crap. But IMHO Harley got the FXRG line of clothing right!
