Well as some of you know I replaced my V&H's 4.5" Ovals with RC Rival Chrome exhaust and I love the look and soumd but the bike doesn't have the low end tq it once had. The baffles are 2.5" which with a converter in the headpipe it wouldn't be a problem but I have Powerduals. I guess it's a trip back to the dyno to retune or try and find a 2" Round 4" Muffler that isn't chocked down as much as the V&H's monster rounds were.
Cobras? Any suggestions?
MGS True Duals from mgscustombikes. I think they even still have a special going on. I cam e from a performance 2-1 pipe and I cannot feel any loss of power with mgs true duals. They look and sound amazing and the power is there across the band.
I highly highly recommend them. You wont be disappointed.
I know it's sounds crazy to even ask this but I actually called Kuryakyn and asked them what size baffles was in there Crusher Muffler and he said 4". I said I know the muffler is but what is the dia. of the baffles, well I don't know he said but I think there 4" also, I said thank you and hung up.
I may just have to spend $200 or so to get it retuned for the 2.5" baffles that I have. Don't want to but as mentioned that's cheaper than dropping coins on more mufflers I guess.

That's worse than asking the parts guy at a Harley dealership a question that isn't in the accessory catalog.
Retunes aren't bad.
I have mine retuned every time I change the exhaust and it's still pretty close, so it doesn't take them very long.

Take the baffles out and drill a 1/4" hole completely through the baffle at the inlet side. Then weld in a 1/4" rod or bolt. This is a old trick people have used for years to create a little more back pressure. It's simple, cheap and it works. I have seen it done several times and it didn't change the sound at all that I could tell.
