Well thanks for the response, but I wasnt picking on your system or anything like that. It was more of a question about that kind of system in general. The way true duals are routed it looks like the proximity to the rider and passenger would cause more heat than the ways the others are routed. I wouldnt know because I never rode a bike with a system routed that way, thats why I was asking.
You're welcome for the response. I didn't take it as you picking on my system, just trying to explain a little bit regarding your question. One more thing to consider about some other designs (2 into 1 or fake true dual design) is that the exhaust gases flow out of the right side of the bike only and will create a little more heat on the right side. True Duals route the hot gases half on the right and half on the left. Any kind of flow impedance (restricted tubing found in most under frame design) or blockage (stock catalytic converter) will produce more heat as well. Thank you for sparking this interesting conversation.
I had the MGS TDs installed on my ride and completely agree with this. The heat actually feels more evenly distributed with the left/right routing of the headers. I also find the lines created by the TD routing much more pleasing than the "cross under" look - but that's just me.
I like the look of the MGS TD you have there, good line of the exhaust pipe that flows with the contour of the bike itself, and the finish looks very well done.
I would have MGS, if I could somehow rationalize the swap of exhaust systems, and the fact that I am saving for WO505 bar swap and HD LED head lamp.
I love my MGS True Duals as does the wife. I put them on from new so I can't comment if they have less heat than stock. No complaints from my riders....I also have PM air cleaner, TTS Super Tuner, Woods TW6-6 cams, head work etc... Power and GREAT sound!!!

Thanks, man! There's just an endless list of "saving up for's" with these dang things, aren't there?! That said, I guess we wouldn't want it any other way.
