Not sure if you have fixed this yet, but my return line was leaking so I bought a new set of lines from Kirk. My pressure line is still good, and if you want it, it is all yours. Send me a pm or email with an address that I can ship it to.
The large nut is a 3/8" NPT fitting with an internal, and external O-ring. The little stub on the bottom is actually an allen head plug. Not sure of the size. If those are both there you are not missing anything.
More than likely what is happening is the internal O-ring in the 3/8 fitting is leaking. You have two options. The first is you can unscrew the fitting, and try replacing the external O-ring and see if that helps. If not you will have to replace the fuel lines. The OEM's are about $160 each, or you can get the Goodridge replacements (HDFL005), and the O-ring kit from HD (17403-95), and a few small c-clips (HD11150) for about $180 total. The replacements are SS braided and chrome, and the internal O-rings can be replaced. It is a simple job, but requires patience to do, and you do not have to take the tank off to do it.
Harley built this connection on purpose....like they do a lot of things. It makes it almost impossible to find the hose anywhere but the dealer and when you do....you pay for it. It's not the o-ring on the tank connector that normally leaks....it's the o-ring INSIDE that connector that cannot be replaced. The hoses are a two-piece unit with a bayonet fitting on the hose-end. Once it's plugged-in...it is captured and cannot be fixed.
BUT....I can show you how to eliminate this problem as opposed to buying new hoses, or even the Goodridge lines, which can also be problematic if they leak. They use metric o-rings that are very hard to find and you have to use the correct/exact one.
PM me and we can discuss thins, but I can show you how to permanently fix this problem and never buy another expensive HD replacement....which will one day leak again.
