A replacement tank console (or whatever you call it) for a '10 UC?
Repainting and doing some other work to my bike over the winter and I have hated that tank console since day one. Not really sure what I'm looking for, but it would be something without a door for the gas cap since that's what I hate most.
Maybe a smooth top with a pop-up gas cap. Retaining the stock intercom connection is not a necessity.
Not sure how you could make the tank smooth with pop up cap. Under the console is , good size plate for the fuel pump and filter plus the neck for the gas cap sticks up above the tank. Maybe there is a replacement tank from aftermarket to do what you are looking for?
Ness makes one, as do many other providers. Go online to J & P's catalog, Drag Specialties catalog, et al. Check out the bike mags, there are numerous ads every month from companies making exactly what you are looking for.
There are lots of cool dashes for your tank.
Ipod dashes, android dashes, one off painted to match dashes, etc,..
Do a google for custom Harley tank dashes and see what comes up.
Yes you could go with a older tank road king tank with the two caps and a center speedo.
Then you can do a flush mount pop up refill and a flush mount digital led gas level indicator on the left side.
Then you have several options with the tank console after that.
Thanks guys, guess I haven't been searching hard enough! I'm familiar with all the "gadget" consoles from Hells Foundry and others. Not looking for anything like that.

Lump
why would you want to go with the older tank from a road king, and not the newer 6 gallon style that would be a direct fit?
how about the tank and console from the coo road glide? thats pretty sharp looking and i think the only restricted part of that is the illuminated logo.
