SS 106 big bore
I got stuck behind an accident, on a hot day. After I got thru that traffic, followed by a 15-min ride thru a 25 mph stretch, I got out onto an open highway with a very steep incline. I was pulling hard up a hill and then it blew out!! When the H-D shop tore it down (I was about 80 miles from home), they found a cracked head bolt, with slight damage to the head surface.
After it was repaired and re-assembled, that's when the problems persisted.

you still having problems?
I swapped heads, lowered the compression down to 9.8:1, and dropped in a set of Andrews 57's!
The bike is very responsive, but I've only put on about 17 miles (between two runs) while setting the rings, etc.
She starts easy, with stock pushrods, and still sounds really nice! I'm waiting on weather before I get to the tuner.
Looking forward to seeing where the poweer comes on....
