2010 FLHX. Changed headers to true duals. PCV plugged in.
Went to start bike and it backfired once. Started right up and idled great.
Turned off and on restart, the red key on the gauge is on. Also, I have to pull the clutch in to start.
have I just lost my mind? I'm fairly certain the clutch did not have to be in when in N to start nor did that red key on the gauge illuminate on other than initial key on.
This is my 3rd time doing this exact same procedure and I've never pulled the maxi-fuse. Never had an issue.
The backfire caught my attention. It was friggin loud. Bike did not start on that attempt. 2nd try fired up and idled right. Started it several times and was fine each time but I had to hold the clutch in for the starter to engage. It's acting like it's in gear.

N light is on. That red key light comes on a few seconds after turning the ignition on.
Possibility I knocked the wire off. I did just do a full system on it. I'll check that in the AM.
I just bought this bike a couple weeks ago. No idea if it had security. It does have cruise but no ABS.
Possibly knocked a wire loose when installing the duals? Or possibly when you put in the tuner? I wouldn't see where different head pipes would cause that. I'm no expert so I can't say anything for sure. From my experience it usually something as simple as a loose connector. ESP with the neutral problem
