Default Rineharts - weird comments from dealer

I'm looking to get a set of Rineharts, local dealer commented that they no longer deal with Rinehart, something about not guaranteeing against blue-ing and/or not good to deal with.

Anyone heard that before?

Another dealer said they are fine with Rineharts, but he mentioned that Rinehart stopped dealing with Custom Chrome, so the customer care should improve.

Curious to know if anyone has been hearing the same things...

Mine are black so I don't think my opinion matters here. I had chrome Rhineharts on my 07 RKC and they did not blue.

even though it is Rinehart's design he doesn't manufacture them or warranty them he runs the warranty through the manufacturer even though he handles it , I know he switched manufacturers he was using and Drag Specialties dropped him but I thought he went to Custom Chrome for distribution after that

They prolly don't want to deal with them because Rinehart decided to only deal direct instead of through Custom Chrome. Dealer prolly not making much money on them anymore.

For what it's worth on the 'blueing' thing, I've got a set of Rinehart 3.5" I bought about 1.5 years ago. I've got stock headers. No blueing on mine (or any other issues). 2004 Road King. Just before I'd bought mine, they'd changed manufacturers.

my dealer mentioned the same thing. They had some issues and Rhinehart would not pay attention. Recommended Rush instead.

I was at Peterson's Miami this weekend and they no longer have the Rhineharts on the display wall. Didn't think to ask about it. I have the 4" Rhineharts and have no problems with them other than the couple of scrape marks on the tips from dragging on a driveway. I love em.

Rinehart warranty doesn't cover bluing. I don't know of any exhaust manufacturer that does. Bluing is a result of improper tuning.

That said, I just put 4" Rineharts on my '11 Limited this weekend, and I like them a lot.
