Is it ok to use the stock pushrods with .030 Head gaskets.Around .020 more squish? If so ,does anyone know the lengths of the pushrods as to where they go? This is for an 04 Twin Cam.
I'm using stock pushrods with .030 head gaskets in my '04 Road King. A
deciding factor in pushrod selection is whether your cam has the stock lobe base. Your HD service manual will help you get the pushrods sorted out. You can find more build info on the tech forums, especially if you do a search.
Takes a bit more time to go thru rocker box but the stock pushrods are a bit lighter and will never need adjusting. If you plan on cam swaps, adjustables are easier. I stayed with stock pushrods with my .030 hg as my Andrews cams have .020 smaller base circle....
