Just looking to vent a bit and get others opinions on the description of a part. I bought a set of passenger streamliner floorboards for my 12 SG off of e-bay. The description said floorboards and mounts. The pictures showed the assembled boards and mounts. The pans had some deep scratches that I was fully aware of, with them being black pans I was going to have them re-done as I felt I was getting a good deal. I recieved the package and the only thing in it was the inserts and the pans.
In my mind a floorboard is made by combining an insert and a pan. It is then mounted using a mount or support to bolt to the bike.
I contacted the seller and he is stating that the pans are the mounts described in his post. No way i would call the pans mounts, pans are pans. Anyone else see it the way the seller does, or see it the way I do? I called BS on this and am currently battling with him through Paypal. ** Just got an e-mail, won a $40.00 refund through Paypal. The guy was an absolute jerk about this too.

See if this link works. I was blown away by the rudeness of the guy too when I contacted to clarify the issue. After 5 e-mails back and forth, I said the heck with it and just filed the paypal complaint.
Just for the record, I didn't pay the $250.00 eaither. he had these for sale for months at $250.00 and they never sold. We ended up agreeing on an amount less than that I felt was fair.
After looking at the link you sent, I'm still right. Clearly says "and mounts". And if they were listed for months, he had plenty of time to get it right.
I agree is says mounts and they are shown in the pics. His description says "streamliner inserts and floorboard mounts" so I guess he could have given you just the inserts and mounts without the pans
