Sounds like the jaws of the tire machine gotcha. I'd expect them to be replacing the wheel if it was mine.

This one of many reasons I change my own tires. I had a flat repaired out on the road once several years ago, at a Harley Dealer, with a result the same as yours.

Plenty of shops go over a pre-inspection with you before going in for service. I guess yours doesn't?

I always demand a pre inspection, just so there are no questions at the end

If they are only surface scratches, they can possibly be polished out. I polished out a lot of clear coat type scratches on a SG wheel. Not that difficult. Of course, it's sad that you have to do it when it's their mistake.

Take it back, demand a new wheel.

My dealer is constantly sending emails to support the dealer, but they do dumb things everytime I have taken my bike in which has been twice in 5 year. Dented my front fender by dropping a wrench on it and failing to tell me about it until I showed them - the bike had 200 miles on it. The other time they miss adjusted the handlebars to make a mirror fit to the poit I could not reach the bars.

So I do most of the work on my bike. If not I take it to a indy.

If you left without inspecting it,thats kinda bad on your part. Now they have a question against your word. Never leave without going over everything, alot of the pissing and moaning on here could be put to rest by doing so. When I worked at auto dealerships I went over the car with the customers every time to cover my ***.
