Good Read: Article about preventing deer from entering highways
I assume we all have the same fear riding at night, a damn deer coming out and taking us out. I personally have spent the money on the HD LED lights for this simple reason but still, always have it on my mind.
I read this and thought it was interesting and wanted to pass along.
Even I have encountered whitetails coming out of maize, in broad daylight - not for the feint hearted! However one of these every 150 yards? Sounds ambitious and expensive.
This should help at night, but since it is triggered by the headlights of the car, this will only work at night. I see most of the deer at the edge of the highway right at dusk when they are just starting to feed so this wouldn't help that situation.
Also, if you notice there are more deer kills during the fall months (late Oct and Nov ) due to the rut, I don't see this device stopping a doe being chased by a buck. Hell I can't even stop them by yelling at them when hunting.
