I'm about 215# ride an 08 FLHTCU. I put the 1.0 racetech springs and fabrik8r's modified intimidator's in the front.
Cut the spacers to 4.15"
Put in the stated 10.8 oz Amsoil 5 wt. and then drew out .8 oz to get the fluid level set to book, so net Asmoil 5 wt is 10.0 ounce.
I can't compare it to monotubes because I haven't used them but this set up is very much improved over the stock set up on both large and small bumps and dips, Railroad crossings and brake dive.
I was tossing around getting the lowering version of the lowering monotubes for my 2008 FLHRC .
Shopping prices I googled several venders and found that various venders listed about four diffrent product #'s being the right one for my bike ?
I tride proggressives site but there search buy model did not seem to work.
I ran with HD cartridges in both legs on my lowered 03 RK and then switched to the Progressive mono tubes when I went back to full hight. I felt the ride was better with the cartridge set up.
Based on that for the 11 RGU I went with Race Tech springs and gold valves. I like the fact that I can adjust it and it works very well.
Another vote for monotubes (full height). Ohlins on back. Super satisfied. Dying to try the Racetechs and Intiminator combo. Maybe its better? Cartridges were a relatively easy install and were priced right so thats the way I ended up going.

Basically the same as me, I think the only improvement that would be had on this would be the Axxion Cartridge Kit
I am leaning toward the carteidge myself but the coins aren't there yet...right now i only have $100.00 saved up and getting ready to do a 12" Apes swap and paint the inner fairing so i will have the forks exposed...good time to do somtin....I am actually considering the Progressive springs...???? not sure...the price is right but i don't know how much improvement over stock with extra heavy oil it will give me... $100 VS $300......might pull the trigger on the cartridges...I like the warranty and the ease...
