Your combo was initially what I was leaning towards. What do you consider "needing help"? So much debate between straight wound/progressive wound springs and how straight is better for the track but progressive better on the roads with cruisers/touring bikes. I wonder how stiff the stock H-D straight wound springs are ??
There's no debate from anyone who has tried both. HD stock springs are progessively wound or multi rate, the "stiffness depends on the year, 09 up were about 1/3 stiffer.
Oh, ok. Thought I read a tech article stating H-D used straight wound springs? Guess my 09 has 1/3 stiffer progressive wound springs. I do see the majority here does use straight wound so that should tell me something. Looks like majority consensus is either Race Tech springs w/intiminaters or Progressive monotubes. I have some time to decide....

I did the HD front suspension upgrade with #3 #3 ohlins outback and the ride is outstanding. I can feel the feedback from the front end in a good way, twisties are funner. I've ridden about 10k with the setup.
I went with the RaceTech 1.0 springs, fabrik8r modded Intiminators and Amsoil 5 wt fork oil. Prior to the swap my RKC was a nose diving, corner waffling pig but now rides and tracks straight in the corners. There is greatly reduced suspension dive and it soaks up bumps easily where clanging and banging before.
Yup.. But what is that? Going thru the threads I see about a 50/50 ratio of RT-emulator-intiminator/monotube users and monotubes are starting to run away.......
