Do it all and do it right the first time. I had no idea to change mine when I installed my 16's and my bars were moving around a lot. I had to pull it apart again to change the bushings....no movement at all now. I swear, I learn something new every day about this bike!! LOL!!

I called and spoke to the guys at baggernation about options a few days ago. They brought up making that change while i was doing the bars. They said i didn't have to, but eventually the stock bushings will wear out so might as well put new ones in while you have it apart.

I did the polly's. You are in there anyway and they don't cost much.

Bought them today at Harley, 39.99. Spoke with the guy at Yaffe, he said if they did the work, it's a must. Between the price of the bars and wire/ hose kit, whats another 40 to do it right ??

Be Safe JIM

They should come on the bike from the factory! But i guess that's why the aftermarket people are in buisness.

not a must have but... the wider longer bars put more leverage on the bushings and the rubber are too soft and allow a lot of movement,if the movement doesn't bother you then don't think id go back in just for the bushings.

These are the bushings I got. I installed them with the 10" classic apes. All cables and wiring worked. I had the reroute the cables and they are tight, but they work. http://www.jpcycles.com/product/5000866

I didn't install them when I did my 11's, but I'm going to go back in when i get a chance. I guess all the bar threads I read, I just missed it. I don't notice mine moving most of the time, but its just a piece of mind deal.
