C'mon up and bring your motorcycle with ya.... I'm leaving for work in 15 minutes !!!
It's 22 degrees and the roads are ice... I have a 16 mile ride. Roads have been treated with calcium chloride spray and a fresh layer of rock salt has been applied.....
Ain't no Starbucks within 45 miles of here....

May even hike up a mountain or two this weekend to enjoy the view....I'll go slow so you can keep up with me on your motorcycle

Wanted add some fuel to the fire, so nothing personal

What bullshit, you list every modification you did, sounds like your trying to impress someone. I am fortunate enough to live in the Arctic climate of the south, and I do remember the great blizzard of 67, actually snowed enough to throw a couple of snowballs.

My question is why did you buy a motorcycle and particularly an HD? Like everyone else I have a lot of money invested in my bike, however it is not my only mode of transportation. If you live where, in the winter it snows everyday and the temp is sub freezing and your ONLY mode of transportation is your motorcycle your an idiot. If you do not have the funds to purchase an automobile as you type on your Mac laptop, discussing Harley Davidson's, while watching dancing with the stars on your 70" TV,your an idiot. If you choose to ride the motorcycle, over your taking your heated automobile in the sub freezing, slick roads, low visibility conditions, you guessed it your an idiot.

I enjoy riding my bike, sometimes it's 600 miles and sometimes it's just around the block, I would take it to Starbucks but I'm not a fan of coffee.

I don't ride in the rain, intentionally, as its uncomfortable, and I'm stuck washing the bike afterwards, I don't ride, during love bug season, intentionally, their detrimental to the paint job, I don't ride in hurricanes, and if it ever snows here again, well on that one I will definitely ride in it, so I can post on here bragging to all the spineless ****** who don't.

Everyone has their reasons of why they do or do not do something, who are we to judge, particularly when your an idiot.

P.S. keep the salt off the bike.

I used to ride all winter on my job as a motor officer. The calcium chloride and salt beat those bikes to death here in Ohio. I have a couple of beater bikes I ride when the salt goes down on the road. I don't ride my Road King after the first application. I don't wash the beaters. I just get rid of them buy another throw away. I've had some pretty neat bikes like that.

I thought this thread would die soon but I don't think so anymore

over 90 posts of "you are a idiot, no I'm not you are"
I don't think some of the posters have even read all the posts that carefully (although there are a couple I can barely understand, they read like one of those Nigerian scam emails).
No one is arguing that if the roads are clear, dont ride, but there are some road conditions that just are not rideable, I dont care who you are.
What annoys me are those that accuse others of not being real riders, RUB's, or of only cleaning and looking at their bikes. How would you have any freakin clue what anyone on here really does unless you know them?
I or anyone on here can claim that they have done anything that they want and who really knows, or who cares?
I usually come on this forum to learn more about our bikes, and I have, there are a lot of really knowledgable people on here.
I cannot beleive how nasty everyone is getting over something so trivial.
One other thing, The local HA club here do not ride in the snow and slush so they must be posers.

They use a chemical brine of some sort here on the roads de-icer, it is corrosive so much so, that the metal spray applicator tips need to be replaced yearly.
It does a good job on the ice though.....
