Default What to do...

Opinions: Got about 1k to blow on the bike...should I do the 14in monkey bars or cam upgrade...no I won't be installing either myself...I'd love to but I think both are beyond my comfort zone. I'd like to learn how...any ideas on that too?

but if you go with the cams, then you'll get where you're going faster and it won't matter about the comfort

j/k, i say go with comfort as well. even without the cams (which are real fun btw) your bike will still get you from zero to speeding ticket in a matter of seconds....

Cams first, you might change your mind about the 14" and go with 12".

An answer would depend on you. Funny how that works, eh?! If you are truly uncomfortable with the stock bars, then I would do those first. Otherwise, I go with performance every time. Good luck. Cams are not that hard if you choose to DIY, just be patient. A service manual would be a good thing to have, and there is at least one good how-to video on YouTube.

I agree with timberland and gdoc89. If you are doing the bars for the visual effect, then go with the cams first. You might see something you like better later on and then that money is wasted.

For a grand, you can do both if you change your mind and do it yourself. There are some great step-by-step videos for the cam change. The bars are a PITA with the wire routing but something a guy could do with some patience.

If I had to choose one, it would be bars first.
