Seat question
I bought a heated seat off of Ebay that the seller says is for a 2006 Screamin Eagle Ultra Glide. Nice condition. I own a 2006 Ultra Glide Classic. Tried the seat and found out it didn't fit as I had plan. Put the 2 seats side by side and the Screamin Eagle seat has a different shape in the bottom that sits on the battery. My stock seat seems to be more flatter in that area. So is the Screamin Eagle frame a little different to allow the rider to sit lower? That is what the seats looks like as it would give a lower profile for the rider.
Can you post a picture of the seat, both top and seat pan? The 2006 screaming eagle seat pan should look very similar to your stock seat pan. The only difference I remember on them is the SE seat has a part of the seat pan cut away at the front of the seat but I think that is hidden by the cover.
It has the Ostrich skin inlay. The fitment problem was on the mount for the rear fender. It didn't line up to put the screw in. The mounting plate can come off. I switched it out with the stock seat but didn't make a difference. I needed about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch to get the holes to line up. Maybe can take the mounting plate and drill the hole out to make it fit.

I think you got the right seat. it just needs broke in I am sure it fits super tight now. I wouldn't drill the hole out I would have a buddy come over and press it on with you an let it sit for a few days. if its been off the bike that long the thing probably just has lost a little shape.
I will get some pictures here soon. I know my stock seat is well broken in. So maybe thats why the seat pan looks a little different. I mean it looks the same until you put the two seats together. The seller did tell me that he didn't use it that much as he changed out the seat not to long after he bought the bike, a Southern CA rider. It looks pretty new except for a small scratch along the bottom. Oh another thing was the the hold down strap on my bike fit very loose after the SE seat was some what mounted on. So to me, that meant the stock seat is taller. But this seat has the Ostrich inlay with a braided bead around the seams.
The Screaming eagle seat is a little lower profile on the passenger section so your stock strap will be loose compared to what it is on the stock seat.
I hope this helps.

That is the correct seat and should go on with no problem. One thing you may want to to try is bending the tongue on the seat. To make a seat tight you push it in and to loosen it up which is what it sounds like you need to do is try to spread it away from the seat pan a little bit. Doing this will let the seat move forward a little more.
