Good idea! Can you reach the camera while riding? (like to turn it on/off etc)

I bought the Black edition. It includes a wi-fi remote, so I can start/stop the camera from the comfort of my seat.

Hmmmm, I didn't think of that. I believe I can add the remote to mine. I'll have to check. Thanks.

Just checked, yep, I can get the wifi remote. Wish I had realized that before Christmas, I could have put it on the list.

I have the Hero 3 Silver edition and have tried several mouting locations.

Using the "Seat post mount" I have mounted it to the crash bar on the right side facing forward and on the saddle bag bars facing to the rear on the right.

I used the suction cup mount and placed it in the center of the tour pack facing to the rear to video while leading group rides.

I used the ram mount on the handle bar with a 6" extention to bring it up by the right mirror facing forward.

Things I have learned, tighten all pivot points to reduce vibration and the less pivot points the better. The shorter the extention the better.

On the handle bars there is vibration but once the bike is moving it is very minimal.

I have not tested the battery duration yet but I have gone more than 30 mins.

Here is a shot of the camera mounted on the crash bar and caught a squirrel trying to decide to live or die.

I've tried numerous angles and after seeing FXD2003Rider's post I had to try his setup so I stopped by the hardware store today and picked up everything needed.

Plan to use this angle tomorrow for a police escorted ride on I-4. Trying to decide if I want it facing forward or backward.....

The battery is somewhat annoying but I've gotten a 12V power port installed. It's not pretty right now as I'm waiting for my swingarm bag to arrive and then I will install it more permanently.

Just an update on my windshield mount - It's good.

No vibration other than the slight TC96 idle vibration, but that disappears quickly. I used loctite on the bolt so that is secure.

The GoPro thumbscrew needed to be tightened very little, as the camera did tilt backward a little bit toward the windshield over a 300 mile ride. I was able to correct the position while riding just by sliding my hand down between the camera & windshield.

A lot of ingenuity at work, here.Personally I don't like the zip tie solution to tether the camera,I was thinking something like a thin nylon cord.Any suggestion will be appreciated, thanks.

This it the outcome from the leg mount we put together Saturday. Going to try to move the camera further from my body to try and take full advantage of the wide-angle aspects.

I would be interested to know what the field of vision is with the camera set to wide angle, wonder if it captures some of the batwing.
Also wonder how bad it vibrates.
