Check Engine Light??
10W-40 was actually recommended to me here. I wasn't sure why at first either, before I moved here, I was running 20W-50 in my Dyna. It was perfect. Was I fed a load of sH*t? If so, I probably should have seen through it....
If bike's still under HD warranty, I'd take 'er in for a quick looksee...so it's documented in the record book. Oil may/may not be the issue, but something could be starting to go in the oil pump/sender...also change it to 20W/50 V-twin for good measure.
Oh, we've already had issues... Especially with Oil. Apparently checking the gasket on the filter element before selling (from an HD dealership) is not necessary. Made it about 200 miles when my oil ended up all over the front of my friend's truck. Hadn't even done an oil change on it yet after purchasing, and was into a 980 mile trip... Luckily Orlando Harley fixed that under warranty. Also had the stator fixed under warranty as well, and, get this, the saddle bag lid screws to the latches came completely undone on one side... For a 2011 it's been a trip, but we're coming to an understanding... Oil pump/sender, That could have become damaged due to our previous history...
