I had an old 07 Road King Classic.. I had the skull floorboard inserts, rider and passenger... shifter pegs and brake. I took them off before getting rid of the bike (long story)... I bought a 12 Street Glide.. A friend got an 08 Electra Glide Standard. I gave him those parts listed above. I installed all, but the passenger inserts. Here is the problem. There is no nipple on the round rubber ***** anymore. How can I get them installed.
I tried a small pair of needle nose pliers... no go. Lube the hell out of it and tried pushing from the inside... not enough room. I tried to tie some string and pulling, no go. I need help with this. I just can't figure out how to get it through without those nipples. I remember when I bought them, it was still a pain even with the nipples attached.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a friend riding around with no left passenger floorboard insert...lol...
Small flat blade screwdriver and alot of patience. I've done it. Just gotta take it slow and dishwashing soap works really Well to aid in the process...

I tried that also, but the screwdriver keeps popping out... Yes, it's really small. One you would use on glasses, but a good set.. Craftsman. What am I doing wrong? This is getting my (&^^ off...lol
I had this problem with a set I bought that didn't have the nipples. I ended up gluing them to the floorboard pan with some rubber cement. Worked fine.
Try using a set of small curved picks, you can actually penetrate the rubber ball and gently pull it through with the help of dishwashing soap, wd-40 or another form of lubricant.
Dishwasher soap, silicone spray, etc and a rubber mallet. Use a towel between the mallet and the board and give it a hard shot(s). I tried everything else and this is the only thing that worked 100%.
