Getting 2 into 1 D & D's installed with the loud baffles. I am going for that deep, throaty, loud rumble and this is what the service guy lead me to. Wanted to know if anyone that has these, are these going to be too loud on long trips or had them and ended up going with the quieter baffle?
Also too, the service guy said I would get 20 HP going with the stage 1 kit and this type of set up as far as 2 into 1 from stock everything and slip on Screamin Eagles. That seems A lot to me. If I had to guess I would say 8-10 HP. Anyone with this set up; what king of HP increase did you get?
Had the D&Ds installed about a month ago on my 03 FLHTI with a big bore kit, I have the standard baffles, and that is pretty loud. I think yours are going to be very loud. Hope you enjoy them as much as I have enjoyed mine.
This is one of those "different strokes for different folks" things. Out of the five 2-1's I've run on different bikes over the last 10 years the FC was my least favorite from a sound stand point. I just never warmed up to it.

Rick
Yeah you are right Rick, it seems like my Dallas Cowboys, people either love the FC or hate it no in between lol.
I have 75k on my 103 with Fat Cats w/standard baffle. Rode from Boston to Eugene and the wife loves the sound. Purrs like a cat and barks like a dog when you roll on it. I think about 8-12 hp. Loud pipes do save lives.
Leonard at D&D is really helpful and great to work with.
Well finally got my bike home with the new pipes. Wow that's all I can say. Not too obnoxious when I take it easy and if I crack it it sounds badass. Already had a few compliments. I do not hear a tinny sound if anything I would say throaty. Pretty much what most people said and what I expected. Thanks for everyone's input and opinions on a very subjective topic.
I live less than 30 miles from Fort Worth. Is it worth the ride down to D&D to look at their "showroom"? Is this install something I could do myself with little to no experience? The only thing not stock on my Street Glide is the Heavy Breather.
Got D&D performance baffle on my '10 electra glide love the sound and look quality is top. After installing SE air intake SE 259e cams (103" engine) did dyno tune with TTS finall numbers 110HP and 119TQ , bike runs like swiss watch. Didn't have money to do TB or heads but I am happy camper my arms are geting longer when I twist trothle after 3.000 rpm ) hope this helps on your decision.
