Absolutley! I didnt mount mine at all, did the flash with the FM Map Jamie made for me, then just keptthe PV in the right saddlebag (07) for 2 tuning runs which were around 30 mins each. After each time, reloaded the tuned map back, then did the second run, and repeat. Done. The PV now stays in a box as I hate clutter on handlebars, however some guys are using it all the time for cool gauge view.

Dude, i did the Supertrapp slip-ons and FM AC plus the initial FM Map flash Jamie sent in like 45 minutes! If PV only to flash the FM, 5 minutes tops, then 2 or so 30 minute tuning runs to try to hit all gears and all RPM's.

I was soooooooooo blown away with this system! Dyno - Shmyno!!! We dont need no stinkin' Dyno!

Ok guys I wasn't sure if you needed to be looking at the unit while riding. I don't want anything on my bars either, hate the clutter. Thanks for the feedback

Man, I feel the same way. I just bought mine a month ago.

Jaime,

How much to purchase these separately? Just the $44 quoted in your post?

I'm waiting to get my bike back. Having the Jackpot header put on it right now. I usually do all my own work but have been sick as a dog lately and it's been raining and cold (no garage). I received my PV a few days before the header (separate purchase) and flashed the ecm. Riding to my mechanic was the first ride with the PV. I had a PCV before that and all I can say is DAMN!!! Smoother throttle, ran very well even though the map was tuned for the jackpot header, not the stock pipe. I agree that we don't need no Dyno machines, we have real world data to tune with!!!!
