hi
im some what new to twin cams and was wondering if these engines do well with straight pipes? do they sell torque cones or something to help with bottom end as was availible for the shovel and evo.
Don't be a nuisance to the public. Get a decent set of mufflers with good sound and engineering to improve your performance. But sure you can get some torque cones for some back pressure. But the twin cam will run like poop on straight pipes.
Yeh, you can run straight pipes/cholos, whatever you like. If you've got a carb, you may want to adjust the needle a bit. If you have EFI, then you might want to look at a tuner. I've got a '99 RK also. Runnin slipons atm, but soon I'm gonna fab up some SS pipes. (That's stainless steel, not S&S.)
ok thanks for the input i had an evo roadking for a while and we were able to gut the stock cans and put torque cones in it that bike ran well thats why i asked. thank you for the replies. sorry if i upset anyone i just like loud bikes hahaDef mute-like the idea of ss pipes love to see some ss true duals. keep us posted
