Yaffe doesn't make his own stuff,
design: yes,
make: no.
They are made over seas.
You sure? I wouldn't be surprised about some things, but a blanket statement like that? It might explain the predicted wait time if it has to come overseas, BUT, if it came from overseas I'd also expect a much higher % of "in-stock" bars.
Also, if overseas would they have been able to add the extra chrome like they did for me?
Bud of mine waited for 2.5 months for his MBB and on the last call to yaffe to cancel he was told raw bars come from china, that's where the delay was......long extended waits with sometimes less then stellar quality seem to be more common lately for yaffe.
I very recently contacted Yaffe regarding chrome 8" MBB.
without getting into the boring particulars. I was not at all impressed.
its pretty simple, the service has to match the reputation. once those two loose sync you loose customers.
Yaffe has created a perception of top notch quality and cutting edge products. while that in and of itself is wonderful, it dont amount to a hill of beans if A) you cant deliver the product in a timely fashion and B) your CSR doesnt take the time to address the customers questions as he obviously hit reply after reading only one sentence of the email.
I ended up with Wild 1's and had them in my hand 3 days after I ordered them.
