Well I ordered the Yaffe 10' MMB off of EBay and had they within a week. Great looking bars and no problems. I ordered the wiring kit from Yaffe. The clutch cable was wrong and the brake line was crap. I tell you the truth when I say the the guy on the phone only wanted to make me happy. Emailed me a sticker to return the stuff for free and gave me my money back less the charge for the wires I used. The instruction given with the kit were very good. I am sorry you are having so much trouble. I took my time and it took me 19 hours total to complete the job. Next time I would be much faster. Good luck JIM

anybody met Paul? he's a good guy. unfortunately, some of his staff aren't the best.

Paul gave me compliments on my bike build when i was in Charlotte last year. I got a picture with him and talked for a while.

Direct got my initial bars out to me within a week. I was satisfied with that but I think now that yaffe know there's a problem, they just don't want to deal with it bc they aren't making more money. I will admit frank has been emailing me and keeping me up to date. Right now it's falling mostly on yaffe

i will say that their warranty isnt the best out there, but its better than Shopes's.

It only makes sense for the customer to send the product back prior to it being replaced. Working for a company whom deals with the same type of issues regularly, the product has to be inspected to verify that the issue is a manufacturer defect, not something else. If you ran a business like this you would understand. Others customer service is their business, not mine. All I know is that we go out of our way to provide excellent customer service as that is half of the business.

As far as wait time on products in this industry, it is pretty much the norm when ordering direct from a manufacturer as there are far too many products to be able to keep them all ins tock all the time. No one wants to have hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of parts that are not going to sell on the shelf in this industry. We would rather stay in business to be able to serve our customers.

It is difficult to understand from the other side but the motorcycle industry is a tough industry, especially when the economy is not so good as most people who are buying these products are using disposable income. Most of us are just happy to still be in business after many companies went down due to the economy.

Like I said above, I am staying out of others customer service as that is their issue but consider the factors involved here.

I've had mine for several years now and they have been great. I would not call them junk. I'm happy. Sorry the OP is having a bad experience.

Pretty sure if you bought from directcycles (unless that is directly Yaffe) that your returned merchandise and refund or resolution comes from them. Charge it back on your card if the merchandise was faulty. They will call ya back quick.

Yaffee builds bike, and goes to shows all the time, and right now everyone is going nuts with preparations for the Easy Rider Show, on top of that right now most of the country has their bike in storage so people are buying more crap than usual while their bikes are "down for winter". These are things that should be taken into consideration when ordering. Furthermore, why the hell would anyone take their bike apart for a handlebar swap without having ALL of the parts first? If your bike was in pieces because of an inner fairing deal, then it's not Yaffe's fault, lol. The guy himself does not personally chrome handlebars, he has suppliers who do and things happen and not everyone is perfect.

You bought from Frank, and Frank should have sent you a new set of bars with a pre paid shipping label to return the ones you have and dealt with sorting things out on his end. Your blame is not being placed in the right place, and you shouldn't have had your bike taken apart for a swap of anything before all the parts were in, plain and simple. That's a gamble you took, and it did NOT pay off.

DHP should have made this right already and NOT put the blame on Yaffee.

Paul is very down to earth and most of the times I have called he himself has answered.

Calm down, admit you should NOT have had your bike apart until all the part were in, and put your foot up DHP's *** to make the sale right instead of leaving Yaffee out to dry.

Default 14" Bagger Apes

I got a Yaffe's 14" bagger apes for a 2002 E.G. and the bars was OK. The Super size kits is junk IMHO. However, I must quantify that after saying that.

You get what you pay for and in my case I got good bars but the super size kit was junk. I was on a budget and at the time I couldn't get high dollar items then. Even so...I still feel raped by the cost of what I got.

  1. Transmission gasket was wrong size.
  2. Clutch cable had to be re-threaded that goes into the tranny cover end or it would damaged both. It had course threads and not fine.
  3. The brake line kit is for show & not D.O.T. approved...Just black plastic tubing.
  4. All brake line couplers had bad threading again, had to be re-threaded. This included the upper brake line T-fitting.
  5. The wiring kit is silver stranded and not copper stranded. Outer jacket is to thick. Never mix copper & silver when soldering it grows things over time.
Again, good bars and still are. And again, I was on a tight budget. However, everything else was overly priced and junk IMBO. Isn't the first time I've expounded on this line of Yaffe's product line. I only bring awareness and what I encountered.

I'm sure Mr. Yaffe means well but it's time for him to check this line and re- vamp it some how. I won't buy anything else from there. All IMBO.
