Default Exhaust install, a couple questions

Got the call today that my Bassani Road Rage (2 into 1) arrived. Going to pick it up and have decided to intall myself. Never done the exhaust before and didn't know if the more experienced had any advice/tips before i start tearing into it

2nd...once installed, going to have the local indy shop dyno and custom map....will i be able to ride this a few miles over to shop without a new map?

Currently I have a pcIII with SE slip ons...

A little nervous about this project...thanks for your help

I just installed the pipe the only PIA was the mount on the tranny. You will need to drain the trans and remove the clutch housing. The directions that come with the pipe a pretty clear. You may have to space out the right floorboard, mine was rubbing the front pipe. You can run the bike without the dyno. I was a little rich to begin with but if it is only a couple miles you'll be fine. If you're interested I'd like to buy the clamp brackets from the starter and trans. I sold my other system and they went with.

Just curious but why do you have to remove the clutch housing? I've never heard of that when installing pipes on anything. Is it just proprietary to Bassani?

That is correct! Bassani supplies their own bracket. I did not try to use HD's but you might be able to use it...?

Hey xglide, don't sweat it! you're only turning wrenches right. All you need is a service manual and a digi camera. If you find yourself in a jam, the forum can help with the rest.
you should have no problem with any of the project. You won't do any dammage limping over to the bike doctor for a map either. Just remember on your way over there, dont beat on her ( I know you will want to hear those brandy new bad *** pipes but resist the temptation).
If you do have to remove the clutch cover bolts remember to torque them! These TC's (twin cams) are freaks about being torqued correctly.

Wondering what one does if he has a hydraulic clutch housing - does Bassini supply that part?
