not sure what material the pipe is made out of mild steel or stainless,just wondering what everyone is using for a welder are you using a mig or tig

I want to gut the cat but don't quite understand how to handle the O2 sensors.
Do I unplug them by the fuse box and remove the sensors from the pipe once the pipe is off the bike or do I take them out while the pipe is still on the bike ?
When they go back in do I have to put something on them or just turn them back in ?
Use some anti-sieze on the threads. Put new seal rings on, they are cheap. Did mine awhile back and noticed the improvement. Now, I've been toying with my new Power Vision. Amazing piece of technology.
