Yeah that's just one hour of shop labor at HD. Could be much worse. OP I hope that helped keep us posted.

Hey Dave, Looks like Jswerve already found it for $80. I spent a bit more because my dealer had it in stock and I didn't want to wait, I'm thinking it was about $100 with tax and everything. Since it's winter, you can probably order it and save about $20. It's completely plug and play, so just pop it in and you should be good to go.

If you buy the new sensor, be sure to check it before you stuff all the wires back in your bars. Just to make sure its really the TBW sensor, and not another wire come lose in the molex somewhere. Just a thought.

Thanks for all the posts guys. I believe I can get it from my parts guy with 20% off of parts so hopefully get it a little cheaper if I need it. My friend helping me is going to try to figure it out with his brother that knows a little bit about electrical issues.

It just dumbfounds me that before everything was great and now it doesn't work and the check engine light is on when we have not done anything to wires. I am sure this is reading that the TBW isn't working.

Not totally true, but true enough. It's plug and assemble. B4 riding the manual tells you to calibrate it. Really simple though. If I remember right you are supposed to flick ignition, hit run, then ignition back to off. Repeat three times. Something like that. Not hard at all but if you skip the step your throttle may not behave as it should.

I'm having 578s installed by the dealer along with chrome controls, Magnum sterling chromite lines, painted inner, etc. I wonder if I should just buy the SE unit now, or let the dealer decide whether they need it or not... I have all other parts in hand.

If the dealer is installing it then what do you care how hard it is? I would assume they already quoted you price based on estimated time to complete. Am I missing something here?
