Hope you back heals fast and you pass the non-ride time in a blink.

I had a major back operation in 2008, fused C-5,6,7, T-1,2,3,4, would never do it again, and am now planning on getting the rods and screws removed after this summer, am still on pain meds but thankfully can still ride, standing is the problem, after about 45 minutes I have to sit down or lay down for a little while, stinks....

I'm about 12 months post op from 12 vertebra fusion with two titanium rods and about 15 screws. You'll be back and good as new.

Best of luck with the surgery! I've got one in my future, but the MRI said I'm not a candidate yet!

I'm having L2-L4 fused on the 19th. I have a 2013 Road King sitting in storage at the dealer that I have sat on once. Hope the timing is right to be on it by the end of April.

Don't push to hard and re-injure yourself. Follow Drs. and Physical Therapist orders, and do the exercises for rehab it makes difference. good luck.!!

Just had my back surgery in November. Doc also told me 6 months but I was back in the saddle on a limited basis just 2 months later. I now have 3 months behind me and can still make only short trips but its better than not riding at all. I had the l4 and l5 replaced, spacers, human cadaver bone, screws... the whole nine yards. 7 1/2 hours on the operating table (also had to remove arthritis calcification). I am already much better off than before the surgery. I used to be able to walk only about a half a block but now can walk a mile without too much trouble. Recovery depends a lot on your individual attitude. Wishing you at least the success I have had and I'm 71 years old!
