Cool. Yeah I have 1 inch sag with just 1 ring showing. Maybe we measured differently. 5 rings showing and mine doesn't bulge. Wife on...3 rings equals 1 inch d sag. 5 rings...not bulging.

I'll have to contact P.S. They ride nice at 4 grooves 1.25 inch sag, and I have measured and re measured 20 times as per instructions. My springs say 90/130 I assume these are the std. I'm just baffled how all these post talk about being too stiff. At 2 grooves I feel more of the road ,not as ''plush''.
Right now the shocks themselves are 12.25 eye to eye with bike sitting. They advertise them sitting at 12 but being 13 type travel. If I unload and bring it to 12 its too soft.

Had my bike on the lift and on phone with Progressive when measuring sag. They told me to take it off the lift. I argued that sag is measured with bike in air (rear tire off ground). I spoke to two techs who said NO..take it off lift, off the jiffy, bike standing straight up and have someone measure. Maybe we all just measured differently but I took their advice. However--there is no way I could ride solo with 4 grooves (max) showing. It would be to stiff if I hit a bump. I didn't measure eye to eye--I went from swing arm up to eye and got 12.5 inches. Set my sag at 11.5 inches when sitting on bike. I don't think the "mark" where measured is as important---I'm just amazed that others at 200lbs find 4 grooves comfy--with passenger I don't think I'd be at 4. All that matters is they work for all of us! Yes mine are marked 90/130

Had two biker buddies help me just to make sure I wasnt stupid, measured exactly like you, I too had 12.5 and to get 11.5 I am at 4 grooves.
I've tried Progressive's most expensive to the cheapest. For the money it's not that much difference. That's why I put 412s on my current bike.
What he said. They get better as you have them longer. 2012 FLHTC. Set mine on the #4 notch mostly riding two and stuff in the bags and rear bucket. No complaints from the wifey. She never noticed much difference with the 412 set over the stock air ride. Went to 12.5" also. Feels solid and ride is smooth.
I just installed the 944s standard springs on my 2014 Streetglide Special. I bought them because I wanted a smoother ride. I took the bike out for about an hour with my wife aboard and I think the ride is somewhat smoother. I didn't really notice any difference in handling and big bumps are still pretty harsh but we didn't bottom out. I had the preloads set with 4 grooves showing. My weight is 230, wife's is 170. I am surprised we had no bottoming out with the standard springs. I will keep them.

Anyone know turn around time on replacing springs?
I had he 944 HD springs and didn't like em. Sent them back for the standard spring swap tool em about 7-10 I believe and I had them back. I put air shocks back on in the mean time.
