get it the color of the bike - had mine painted to match the bike along with the inside of my lower fairings, air intake covers, mirrors and brake/clutch levers - nothing like a matching bike
I'm trying to decide what color painted inner fairing to order for my new RGU. I'm afraid if I get it red to match the bike I'll get tired of looking at that much red so I'm considering black. Those of you that have chosen the color of the bike (non black) have you regretted your decision?
Probably depends on the color of your bike. Everybody's different, but I certainly wouldn't want to stare at Ember Red Sunglo around my gauges for 14 hours a day.
if it were me id do black if you do red have the body man tape off the inner channels where the gauges are and leave them black same for the radio area it will look good and ule be the only one red is a BAM color and can easily be overwhelming ive actually seen them for sale in primer on ebay bout $150 have it painted and see what you think and leave urs be jus in case hope this helps
I just did mine. I have a 12 SG Ember Red and love the look. This ember red is a different color every direction you look at it and if its sunny or cloudy. They should come stock this way, but than Harley wouldn't get the extra money to do this as an aftermarket part
Mine is getting done 2 tone with the pinstripe to match up to the outer fairing, Sunglow Cherry / merlot with gold pinstripe
That's an awesome idea! Have you been quoted a cost? Are you taking the stripe straight across from side to side?
Think I'll do the same with the Light/Dark Rootbeer & burgundy pinstripe
on mine. Should put the pinstripe right across the middle of the gauges, that will look great.
