I have read many questions and "solutions" on this forum regarding setting the chirp mode upon arming/disarming. Most of these refer to the KEYLESS fob. My 2006 Ultra uses the button fob.
My alarm system itself, Siren II with rechargeable remote pager , works flawlessly. While this whole chirping thing upon arming/disarming is inconsequential to me, I thought I would offer what I found to be the case: namely, that the pre-2007 models cannot be set to chirp when using the button fob. Keyless fob is settable to either chirp or not.
Now, there may be a work-around for some people on here who like to fiddle with such things--but, the HD factory units for 2006 and earlier simply are not made to chirp upon arming/disarming.
If there are contrary views to what I said, I would be happy to hear from you.

if the lights flash when armed, a 'chirper" could be wired into that.
the function of the chirp is to confirm the status for those of us who do not have a fob with a button to push- so maybe less useful if you have the old style alarm
