I recently bought a Hayden tensioner for my '12 Limited. During my research on the subject, I read several threads where people asked if the was an HD tensioner that was not auto adjusting, for our bikes. There was even a thread where someone was talking about modifying the OEM tensioner to be manually adjustable only.
I was on Harley Tech Talk forum and found reference to the SE Pro Manual Primary Chain Adjuster, kit #36500020, install instructions J05728.
I have not been able to find anything else on this unit. The kit part number doesn't show up on any of the HD online purchase sites.
Anyone have any experience with this primary chain adjuster? Cost? Is it available?
interesting but seems like that would be a PIA to keep taking off the primary cover to adjust the chain , have not seen one but going to follow along to see what comes up
I wonder if this thing is still available. I went to LSHD1 to query the part number and it didnt come up. I also wonder if it only works on bikes that have the adjustment door.

Yep. Say that over there too. No pis though. Glad my auto works fine!
At least the install instructions have a table giving the installer proper tension adjustment measurements. They must have discontinued this kit for some reason.
In the instructions it says the upper shoe and lower plate not included. Does this mean they were selling half of a kit, and then you have to buy the rest seperate
