I've been looking around for a better solution to the HD tether. I saw the Ultra Brace from eglidegoodies, but I also saw mention of the Pakjack, but not much in the way of reviews or pics.
Any pics or comments on this device?
http://www.pakjack.com - Its remarkable to me that you would try to sell a product without any pictures of the thing.
I just went to the "ordering" link, and now I wonder if they are even still in business, it says
Due to it's popularity, we are currently backordered.
Our restocking date is set for April 12, 2010.
You may still place your order for delivery.
Your order will be shipped as soon as we are restocked.
We apologize for this inconvenience.
I don't have info on the product, but that domain is owned by godaddy.com and it is one of their free template sites. It's set to expire next year so someone is possibly still paying godaddy. I would email them to ask their status.
I'd love to get rid of the cable and add stability to the Tourpak lid.
Hate it when they want to sell stuff but only let you contact them by e-mail. Like saying " We don't list a Phone number because we're not interested in talking to you at all, but if you really really must have our stuff, send us a e-mail and if your lucky, we'll even read it.

To me, no phone # is a deal breaker.
I think technically they sell through dealers.
I just wanted to see if there were any other alternatives to eGlideGoodies Tour Pack Brace before I made a decision, but it looks like a fine unit, I'll probably go with that.
yeah, i'd be a little leery about that as well. gotta love their slogan, 'designed by bikers, to be used by bikers' and they show some dude up in the corner wearing a suit and tie
from reading the description, it sounds like the air assisted shock arms that you use on your trunk, hatchback, hood, etc.... i'd really like to see a pic of it, using a stock one of those, a tourpak wouldn't have enough weight to compress the piston.
