How would you catch up to him? Does your bike shut down?
It won't start, unless of course he is parked so close to where he sitting inside the bar that his fob is in range. Its like 30 feet for mine. I can start mine in the garage if my fob is anywhere in the front side of my house.
to the OP...for the record, your bikes battery can have enough power for lights, radio, fuel pump (the whine you heard) and still not have enough husbah to turn her over. Just sayin...
As stated, you can likely look through your owners manual on the Harley web site should you need that info later.
I would also recommend getting the free VTwin app for your smart phone (if you have one.) Created by a forum member, the instructions are included in the app and you can store your code in most any note app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...cx.eight&hl=en

yep thats what mine did, changed the bike battery and all was good......it was cold out and I had heated gear plugged (battery direct) in so by unplugging it I was able to start the bike
Needless to say, I had to drive and was as a concequence, LATE (which I DESPISE).
make yourself familiar with the override procedure and you won't be late again. it only takes about 5 seconds to go through the process.

are you sure your security has been activated? it shouldn't work that far away. more than 3 feet and mine is spotty, 5 feet, a definite no go. 30 feet is definitely too far away. i don't think the engineers ever envisioned that it would/should work that far away. i would take the batteries out of both fobs and see if your bike still starts.
